| Membership in the Association is eligible to any duly appointed Alberta Municipal Public Works employee (Municipal Membership) of any Municipal District or County presently organized or hereafter to be organized in the Province of Alberta or to any employee of a company involved in a Public Works related business in Alberta (Associate Membership). Membership Levels |
Municipal Membership (Rural) - $800Municipal members shall serve in a Supervisory capacity in a Municipal District, County or Specialized Municipality. Any Municipal member shall be eligible for election to any office there in, however there shall be voting privileges to a maximum of one (1) vote per Municipality at the Association’s General Meeting. | Small Community Associate Membership (URBAN) - $800Small Community Associate Memberships are members who serve in a Supervisory capacity in a small community (population <10,000). The Small Community Associate Members shall be non-voting members and not eligible for election to any office therein. | Associate Membership - $1000Associate memberships are available to employees of a company involved in a Public Works related business, and such, a company can have more than one Associate Membership. The Associate Members shall be non-voting members and not eligible for election to any office therein. |
Can I join AMSA if I am a public works supervisor from an urban municipality, such as a town or city?
Yes, urban public works supervisors are welcome to join AMSA as an associate member.
